Who We Are

Lyman Good

I'm Lyman Good, and my life's been quite a journey, filled with a mix of passions and experiences.

Growing up in the projects of East Harlem, NYC, I found my way into martial arts as a way to escape the challenges of my life. Under the guidance of my mentor Shihan Schulmann, I not only learned martial arts but also discovered my love for self-empowerment and mentoring others. Helping them find happiness through training is incredibly fulfilling.

Today, I bring over a decade of teaching experience where I aim to make a positive impact on people’s lives every day.

In the world of professional fighting, I’ve competed in Bellator and currently in the UFC and held titles like Bellator Welterweight Champion and CFFC Welterweight Champion. These years in the fighting world have taught me one thing: progress doesn't happen when you're complacent and to never give up. So, in my teachings I bring intensity and high expectations, but I also make sure there's a sense of camaraderie and trust.

One of my big passions is being the founder of the "Good Theory” movement. A place where I dive into mental health topics, drawing from my own experiences dealing with depression and hardships. Through my stories, I hope to offer guidance and support to those who might be going through similar challenges.

I take great pride in being a mentor and life coach. My approach centers around building resilience, self-awareness, and self-mastery. Drawing from my own life's challenges, I'm here to assist others on their journeys of self-discovery and personal growth.

In a nutshell, it's all about making a positive impact and helping others find their way in their own journeys.

Welcome to our digital corner! I'm Micka, a passionate advocate for positive change. I proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, specializing as a Military Police officer and later as a Special Reaction Team (SRT) Leader, instilling values of discipline and unwavering dedication.

My educational journey led me to a degree in Psychology and a commitment to peace and justice studies. Beyond my military and academic pursuits, I'm a dedicated martial artist, finding strength in body and mind.

In addition to advocacy, I manage an elite Martial Arts School in New York City, nurturing the growth of diverse members, including active military personnel, veterans, first responders, and professionals in high-stress roles.
